Conservation of energy is a major concern and practice at Pratibha. To achieve optimum energy efficiency, Pratibha has installed energy saving systems and equipment. All the dyeing machines at our plant are equipped with heat exchangers to facilitate reduced steam consumption. Pratibha's captive power plant ensures that best availability and generation of power is achieved. The company has also directed its efforts to make the best possible use of waste heat. To this end, it has installed some equipment which are described as under:
Waste Heat Recovery Boiler: Waste Heat Recovery Boiler works on flue gases of CPP and produces steam in excess of 1 ton per hour thereby reducing fuel consumption.
Vapour Absorption Chiller: Vapour Absorption Chiller is used for air conditioning of Pratibha's garment unit. It runs on heat recovered from the cooling water of Captive Power Plant Radiator.Continuous research and projects at Pratibha are exploring methods to reduce energy consumption and move to cleaner fuels. Pratibha was amongst the first companies in Madhya Pradesh to apply for gas from the Gas Authority of India Limited (GAIL). Pratibha has set targets to slowly switch to gas for power generation and steam generation, eliminate the consumption of solid and liquid fuels and thus, contribute to a cleaner environment.
